You just made one of the classic DIY blunders by automatically replacing what part was listed in the trouble code without actually reading and understanding the code. No trouble code EVER EVER tells you to replace a part. It only tells you that the sensor reading is out of spec. In this case the code is for the air/fuel heater circuit. The word circuit should have clued you into the fact that it could be the fuse or wiring. That should have been checked before you even considered replacing the sensor. Now that you've wasted money on the sensor, it's time to actually check the sensor heater circuit. For that you'll need a wiring diagram and a DVOM meter

SOURCE: how to erase toyota camry code obd 1

Hello, and welcome to FIxYa.

To erase the check engine light on a 1994 Camry, open the hood, and, in the engine compartment fuse box, remove the blue 15 amp EFI fuse for one minute. This will clear the codes. If you have a hard code; ie a malfunctioning sensor, the light will come right back on.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance.

2002 toyota le 29,780 Miles check light on during driving code p1135

Code p1135 is a code for an Air/Fuel sensor (oxygen sensor). Bank 1 sensor 1. IT comes up when their is a problem with air/fuel mixture in the engine. It would be anything from a blocked air cleaner, faulty or fouled spark plugs to a blocked exhaust pipe/catalytic convertor. I would get these checked out, and if they are all fine the sensor its self or sensor circuit may have failed, requireing replacement. With your low miles, hopefully this maybe covered under warranty if it is the sensor.

P1135: A/F Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

Your first O2 sensor is not getting heated either because the wiring to the sensor is bad or the heater inside the sensor is bad. If you have a four cylinder this would be the only O2 sensor you have before the catalyst. I would just replace the sensor, clear the code, and see if it comes back.
