I suggest you take it apart and wrap a layer of electrical duct tape to make the ball joint a bit tighter fit.

SOURCE: 2004 rx330 passenger side mirror wobbly

On the bottom of the mirror casing there are three screws - one visible and two hidden by a plastic panel. To open the plastic panel use a small knife or screwdriver and pop it open using the small **** on one edge of the panel. Careful - if one or both of the screws are completely loose, they will drop on the ground and most likely end up in that endless black hole where all those socks go when we wash them. ;)

SOURCE: driver side mirror loose how can i tighten it

Most mirrors have a removable cover just on the inside of the door. If you look closely where the mirror meets the door on the inside should be a snap in place cover or three screw holes with snap in covers that you remove and then use a screwdriver or small socket wrench to tighten the screws or bolts.

SOURCE: How can I replace broken mirror glass volvo S40

You can replace it a couple of ways, my wife broke my side mirror with a paint ball gun, so I just cut a piece of mirror and glued it in the holder. Worked great for years, Till I found a new mirror, and took the real glass out and snapped it in the holder. But you can remove the holder by taking off the plastic cover inside the car behind the mirror, unbolt the holder and hang on to it, it is heavy. You might have to pull the door panel to get the wire disconnected. Then you can either replace it or work on it easily. Hope this helps.

HOW DO I REPLACE THE REAR VIEW MIRROR ON MY 1999 BUICK LESABRE LIMITED

  • Push the mirror lens upward so it faces the roof of your Buick LeSabre.

  • Place the eight-pointed star head of the Torx driver into the setscrew located in the base of the rearview mirror. Turn the Torx driver counterclockwise. This releases the clamping pressure on the mirror.

  • Slide the mirror upwards to remove it from its metal bracket.

  • Place the base of the replacement mirror against the windshield, directly above the metal bracket. Slide the mirror down into the bracket. The bracket has a groove on each side into which the mirror will slide.Secure the mirror to the bracket by tightening the setscrew clockwise with the Torx driver.

How do I take the rear view mirror off a 2005 ford territory? it has seems to have a metal pad that the mirror slides onto. my current mirror wobbles while I drive - apparently it is a common fault?? I...

There should be a small set screw on the side of the metal pad that tightens against the mirror to keep it from wobbling. It may be loose or missing. It takes a very small allen wrench to tighten the set screw. If tightening the screw doesn't stop the wobbling, you can loosen it far enough to slide the mirror up and out of the bracket. Slide the other mirror into the bracket and tighten the set screw.

Cracked mirror only, mounting and other parts are functioning well. Can I purchase a mirror only and if so, where?? This is for 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix and the passenger side mirror is cracked but works...

Hello, yes the glass can be replaced. you will need to see your local GM dealer for the glass. real simple to replace.

  • Carefully push the outside rearview mirror face on the inner edge, near the front door window glass, to allow access.
  • Insert a large flat-bladed screwdriver in the slot between mirror lens and the mounting base.
  • Grasp the mirror face firmly and pull it from the mirror body.
  • Remove the outside rearview mirror case from the outside rearview mirror housing and disconnect the heater wire, if equipped.

  • Using the palm of your gloved hand, press firmly on the center of the glass until the case seats onto the motor.
  • The mirror will make a snapping noise when properly seated.
  • Inspect the mirror for proper operation.

2005 Volvo S40 Side Mirror Defroster?

should be only 1 fuse ,but look to see if thete is another fuse in the fuse box, also make sure the wiring that goes into the mirror is not a loose connection ,follow it as far as possible under the dash and thru the side of the car into the door[ at this area especially] wires sometimes get crimped or broken. Good luck !!
