You'll need to print a component locator or schematic from Mitchell or AllDataDIY.com to find the harness and locate the exact relay if you don't have a diagram in your main fuse box. It is located in the engine's main fuse block, inside of the cover (typically) and is generally 4 wire and almost a miniature version of what you might think a relay should look like.

Hope that helps.

2002 Honda Civic is overheating. Anti-freeze goes in to the overflow tank but doesn't return into the radiator. The tank keeps filling up until it overflows. Already changed the thermostat, radiator cap,...

if its an overheating problem the cooling fans may not be coming on.this needs to be checked.it could also be a bad temperature sensor for the computer and its getting the wrong temp reading, thus not turning on the fans.there is also a cooling fan relay(not a problem that happens often).one other thing the impellers on the water pump may be worn out or not turning with the pump shaft.

Where is the horn relay in a 1999 honda civic Ex?

Hi:
I am reasonably sure that your horn relay is in the relay/ fuse box that is located beside your battery, on the rear passenger side , under the hood!

2002 civic ex overheating

with your description it sounds like your fans are not coming on, also sounds like the problem was never solved, sounds like you threw a lot of money at your problem also... check to see if the fans are coming on at the right times, seems like a n air movement over the radiator since you say it only gets hot in stop and go traffic... well when your driving at a constant highway speed guess what you have air movement through the radiator... check also a clogged ac condensor with bugs, pressure wash it out so the air can pass through it easily... please rate my help thanks

There is no white smoke coming from the tail pipe and the oil is clean, when the car gets hot i can smell the coolant pretty strong, car has never completly overheated gets about 3/4 of the way til red.
