SOURCE: 2005 Honda Pilot Rear Air

the blower for the rear air has a screen that like screen in your clothes drier or the screen on your hair drier will get loaded up with lint and junk. it is a bit of a pain to access, you have to remove the right hand kick panel on the driver's side and then you could see the screen. good luck.

SOURCE: 2005 Honda Pilot 75,000 transmission fluid change

The bottom pan comes off and there is a pan filter that is contained in this assy. It drains from there it cannot be pumped out. They simply remove the pan and let it drain, only about 60% of the fluid actually drains out but the filter is what is important to replace to lengthen the trani life. I wouldn'ty pay more than 100-150 bucks tops for this transmission maintenance.(although it is well worth it) Good Luck

SOURCE: 2005 honda pilot will not start

I had a similar issue, but I think it's because I left the tailgate door open slightly and the built-in light killed my battery. I jumped my battery, but I wasn't able to start my car again and this time the door was closed properly. I was told by Honda that the batteries only last for about 2-3 years. I have since replaced the battery and no more issues.

Check for transmission leak, even a slight smear, also check near the drive shaft seals. Check the transmission fluid level. Usually the main culprit

Transmission fluid in radiator & running out radiator overflow bottle

The transmission cooler is located inside the radiator on pilots, they are notorious for rotting out and leaking ATF into the radiator and vice versa. This wil quickly lead to your transmission seals failing and destroying your transmission. Happened to my wife's pilot and got Honda to split the bill

What service my honda pilot needs at 22500 miles

At 22500 Normal stuff like regular oil chages etc..

At 30,000-ish exchange all fluids.. Radiator, break, power stearing, trani (if auto)

On the trani - I strongly feel that a FULL fluid exchange should be done.. They normally only do a "pan drop" only exchanging about half the fluid or less.. Makes no sense to me.. Pay a little more and exchange ALL the trani fluid..
I have my 10 year old trani fluid fullly exchaned every 40-k to 50-k and now have 160-k on it with no leaks and works like the day it was new..

Most people dont understand that old/dirty fluids is what causes leaks and break down..

Also - have you breaks inspected..

Key remote

Turn the Battery around. Or if that has been tried,
Lightly Bend the terminals that lay on top or under the battery. They shoud make contact with the battery on the top or bottom. And on the side.
