It sounds like a problem i just had. Try this...turn the key as if you are starting it...but as soon as it starts turning over, slightly turn the key as if you were going to turn the car off (just slightly). It is stays running (while holding the key) there is an ingnition switch just under the steering wheel by the brake pedal that needs replacing. It cost me $60.

Remove the wire plug and the two bolts and it comes off reverse the procedure.

Use only Honda brand ATF-Z1 Do not use any substitute or you will encounter shifting problems.

are you sure you have the timing marks correctly lined up? If so, try holding the gas peddle to the floor while cranking the engine. This has helped me in the past with hondas.
