Its the rev limiter. its suppose to do that when the engine has no load or the vehicle is stationary so you don't break the engine

Will a fuel pump from a 2002 dodge ram 1500 5.9 liter work on a 2005 1500 4.7 liter dodge ram

It should fit right in it. The only difference there might be is the plug for wiring.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 Engine. Starts fine, Idles fine, but when engine shifts into high gear and RPM lowers engine runs really rough under load

Have you checked for a broken valve spring. Repaired a dodge engine with the same running issue as you have described and it was a broken intake valve spring.

2005 DODGE RAM PICKUP...ENGINE REVING & WON'T

I have seen this many times it most of the time was caused by a leak in the intake or air plenum ,you can test for that using a water bottle with a mist spray around the intake should change RPM.'s as it draws the water in ,telling you the area that is leaking BE CARFULL. MOVEING parts hope this is helpful. let us know how we are doing Thank You.

Oil pressure fluctuating

The sensor could be failing to read the lower pressure when the engine RPM slows down. Or the pump could be failing. I would replace the sensor and see if that doesn't correct the problem

2001 Dodge Ram 1500 engine sputters at low rpm

hello i am a independent shop owner and i recently had a 01' dodge 1500 5.2L engine and it seemed to have the same symptoms as your car, i checked fuel pressure and it seemed to be around 49 which is still considered normal and also i did check the distributor cap and each spark point had corroded parts on the tips but before i replaced any parts i disconnected the bank 1 sensor 1 oxygen sensor and noticed that the car never sputtered again.. so in my case i recommended to my customer to first replace the o2 sensor! Hope this helps cheers!
