2006 vw bug fuel reset switch - 2006 Volkswagen New Beetle

I looked at info for 06 vw bettle, 2.5L engine.
The location says, left side of engine block, close to tranny flange.
Three wire connector, wire colors, violet/red---violet-- brown/blue.

probably . use a scanner to reset the CPU program in the ECM

The basic process is to check for spark at the coil and the plugs, then check for gas in the carb. If you have spark, it should try to start with carb cleaner sprayed into the carb throat.
If it does, you then check for fuel pump pressure in the line between the pump and the carb.

Transmission Problem, any time they slip

Has to be rebuilt

transmition problem ignition got nothing to do with trans check oil level first if this is ok could be sincro mesh or worn gears

IIRC there is a fix from VW about a redesigned filler neck. I have had several Bugs and Golfs with this problem. I refer them to VW.

vzambus, have you run the bug out of fuel recently?

gordieou, same question for you as well.

Put the Key in the ignition and turn the key. It should disengage the steering lock and you should be able to pull it out. Make sure you unplug the switch from the back.
