Probably needs a heater core replacement. Check and make sure your coolant level is good. There are two hoses that enter the passenger side firewall. With the engine at operating temperature feel both hoses. If both are about the same temo the core is fine. If one is hot and the other is cool then heater core is clogged and will need to be flushed or replaced. Replacement is very expensive on most vehicles. The part is usually cheap...around $50...the labor is high. The entire dash board of the car has to be removed to replace the heater core. Most vehicles take around 10 hours of labor time to do.

Can not get the new air ride compressor to come on

Make sure the trunk switch is turned on. Your doorjam and trunk switches are wired into the Air-ride. They must sense the openings are closed before the lift compressor will work.

There are level controls for height. If the car was put on a lift without the switch being turned off, the positioner may be stretched beyond working.

97 continental over heats . radiator fans works, we even connected fans directly to batt for cont run. drove about 90 miles with heater on,with full of water, fans runing continously, it still got very hot ...

One thing people tend to look over is the very inexpensive reservoir/overflow tank cap. These tend to lose pressure over time due to heat rotting the seal.

I CHANGED MY ALTERNATOR ON A 97 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL NOW MY REAR AIR STRUTS SIT LOW

One has nothing to do with the other...If they both seem to happen due to the other, it is purely coincidental. Sorry. Wait...If your rear air pump, if it has air leveling system, if the fuse blew during the alternator replacement due to a short, check the fuse. Other than that, there is no relation.

Where is the flasher relay located on my 97 continental? I have looked under the dash and no luck. The auto parts store does not even list a part number for a 97. At first the rt blinker stopped working...

The Lincoln Continental flasher is integrated into the "Multifunction light control module" part # 13c788. Cost junk yard around $50. There is no stand alone flasher relay as in the older or more senseably engineered and cheaper cars.

Hope helps.

The AC is working an blowing but the heating is also blowing at the same time. What can fix this problem? It is 1998 Lincoln Continental Town Car.

Could be the vacuum motor blend door problem where the plastic door inside the dashboard is not properly being angled to direct cold air and to block hot air from coming into the cabin.
