Code 181 fuel temp range on 2000 chevy silverado 1500 4.3 l v6

Please give details like Model 1500 or 2500, Engine size, Manual or Auto transmission. I have given below position of Vehicle speed Sensor.

have you changed your temperature sensor

the fuel vapor pressure sensor is mounted on top of the fuel tank in the fuel pump assemsbly. here is a picture

REPLACE AIR FILTER,CHANGE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES.CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS.THEY COULD BE LEAKING FLOODING ENGINE FOULING OUT SPARK PLUGS.

I doubt running out of gas burned up the pump. A scanner doesnt say anything, it puts out a trouble code, what is the code. do you have spark at the spark plugs? if not check the Crankshaft position sensor. What is the fuel pressure?

check for weak spark[s] if fuel delivery is fine then ur problem would lie with the ignition weak or bad spark would cause start problems

PO 404 exhaust gas reciculation circuit, range or performance problems
PO 405 exhaust gas reciculation sensor circuit low
PO 463 fuel level sensor circuit high input

you may have a problem with your egr valve being stuck open,temp sensor may be giving a false signal,bad preasure reg.,
check egr by seeing if it moves with finger presure if it does disconect vacum line,test
temp sensor you will need aohm meter to test,remove test at room temp then test after running hott water on it
did you have any stumbling may want to replace filter and preasure reg.

the knock sensor on V6 models are threaded into tranny mounting flange just below the oil pressure sending unit. On V8 models it is under the Intake Manifold.
