The low side port is located on top of the reciever/dryer (round cylinder). This is mounted beside the radiator, behind the passenger side headlamp, in front of the air cleaner near the washer fluid resevoir. The high pressure port is on the drivers side and sticks up higher

Where is the low pressure AC port on a 2000 mercury sable

it will be in the larger pipe near the compressor or in the line at an accessible point.. The low pressure is the suction line from inside the car to the compressor.

Where is the low side port for ac charge located on engine for 2001 mountaineer

4.0L , 5.0L : Back near the firewall (Evaporator) above the accumulator/drier. The line will be cold /low pressure port.
Near radiator (Condenser) is hot/high pressure port

Be careful, if unsure do not risk it. If the system is leaking this will be a very temporary fix and probably needs the service of an experienced auto AC person.

I have the freon to recharge the ac in a 2002 mercury sable but cant find the low pressure port to charge it

sometimes it's in the fender well on the passenger sie. Just follow the big low pressure hose from the accumulator bottle and you should find it. If not let us know and I will look in trhe shop manual at work tomorrow.

Compressor will not stay on when AC is running. Checked fuses already

if turns off or short cycling most likely needs a charge when low on freon low pressure safety will disconnect the compressor to protect it from damage

Where is the low pressure refill port on mercury sable 2002

Look for the receiver/dryer a tall "beer can" shaped device. It should be marked "LOW" or have a larger diameter pipe than the high side of the AC and fit the "self service" charging connect. Your manual has this listed as a "danger" item.

Low pressure ac port

Two ports under hood for ac, use the one closest to the fire wall. Refill valve will only hook up to this one. Use a gauge on refill can so you dont over fill system and blow a o ring
