2002 Chevy Tahoe, started with rear a/c blowing warm/hot air, then it started working again. Now both rear and front a/c blows warm/hot all the time. All speeds seem to be working in front and back. Doesn't change temp much by using recirculate or a/c. Ideas?

Sounds like a leak. Have your system checked for leaks and re-charged. If the system is full of refrigerant, then check the pressure switch on the compressor and the pressure switch on the accumulator (dryer). If the pressure in the system is low, these switches prevent the compressor from running to prevent damage.

Sounds as if you have more than one problem. If the rear is blowing hot then the AC is not working. The front should also blow hot if the front fan motor is functioning.Youi need to have the system pressures tested for proper freon levels and have the front blower motor system tested if it is not working
Just got an answer from Chevy Dealer. When you replaced the battery it loses its memory as to where the door actuators were (the flaps that control the heat and A/C).
The fix: Turn everything off and let the car sit overnight. The computer should reset itself during its learnings process. In the morning turn on the ignition and let the car run for a few minutes before turning on the climate control.
If this doesn't work, plan on 1-1.5hours of labor for a technician to reset the actuators at the dealership.
Notorious for plugged heater cores. Also updated plastic restrictioncouplers mounted at heater core available from dealer. Try back flushing heater core. Run engine till its at operating temperature then carefully hold the inlet and outlet hose breifly with heater fan on high if hoses are nearly the same temp then flow is good , if not then core is plugged.
I have the same problem with my 2001 Tahoe. The front blower is working, its blowing strong, but its cold air even with the temp setting as high as it can get. The rear blows hot air. The engine temp guage is at about 210ish which is close to being normal (220). I just replaced the thermostate a few months ago, I don't know if its bad again, or it I deluted the antifreeze too much and it frooze the heater core, or if the heater core just went bad. Any one know what the cause could be?
