How do I fix the ignition switch in my 1997 Chevrolet Silverado 1500? It's a 5.7L V8 ext. cab. Someone tried to hot-wire it and they broke the ignition switch(I have to use a screwdriver to turn it on). They also broke the turn signal switch(doesn't work properly and turn off at times) and emergency lights switch(doesn't turn off).
You will need to take the steering column apart to replace the switches. You will need specific tools to do it also.
