2002 Suzuki XL-7 O/D off light doesn't come in when pressing over drive switch on gear selector

check fuses
the OD lamp fails of the transmission fails and some suzuki
cars do not allow OD in 4wd, , is this car 4wd featured.
the OD may flash too for transmission errors.
you must scan the PCM (tcm inside) to see the reason why.
but put transfer case in to 2wd.
the operators guide covers this, for sure if 4wd car and chapter named the same.

It can not be an XL-7 model. It will not work.

IS NOT AWD, ITS 4WD PART TIME.
do not drive in 4wd , on pavement. are you? and why?
repost with location,
im on dirt,grass,gravel , offroad, rock pile,, ice,snow, sand,????
but not on pavement. or it will wind up and wreck a good transfer case.
its not AWD, SORRY,
it has no center differental like an AWD HAS.

2004 Suzuki XL4 4x4 won't go into neutral

Could be an electrical problem or a mechanical problem in the transfer case.
You may need a book to diagnose it.

The 4WD light comes on and off when in 4WD. It is not a steady light that glows all the time.

Check the switch which should be around the transfer box, it could be faulty or there maybe some connection problems probabely a lose connection .
