I'm having the same problem. It will crank over 8 - 10 times in a row, then won't. If I wait either 3 minutes, 10 minutes or 30 minutes then it'll start up just fine and it runs great. We've had it in and out of the shop - no one can find what's wrong. I'm tired of getting stranded!

THIS COULD BE SEVERAL DIFFERENT PROBLEMS. SOUNDS AS IF IT MAY BE A FUEL DELIVERY CONCERN. THE ONLY WAY TO DIAG. THIS CONCERN WOULD BE USING AN UPDATED SCANNER FOR THIS VEHICLE. THE "SVC BRAKE SYSTEM" IS MOST LIKLEY CAUSED FROM THE NO START ENG CONCERN. IF I WERE TO TO TAKE AN EASY GUESS, YOU CAN CHECK YOUR FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, IT MAY BE LEAKING. TURN KEY TO RUN, DISCONNECT VACCUME HOSE @ REGULATOR. SEE IF FUEL IS COMING FROM REGULATOR, IF THERE IS, YOUR REGULATOR IS FAULTY. YOU MAY ALSO HAVE A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP, BUT A GUAGE IS NEEDED TO VERIFY.

sell the truck and get one that does not have the security system that locks out the engine starting. I wish I could but I can't for a year or so.

There should be a few things that has gone bad but were going to go with the low on R143a for now. Do not get a recharge kit like everyone uses, Call around and get quotes to getting your a/c recharged, on thing they will use a gauge on the high and low side which would indicate a problem with the a/c system to low on R143a to a bad orifice tube or a a/c compressor going bad. The low and high side should read 80 to 105psi with the clutch not engaged. when the clutch is engaged the low side should be 25 to 35psi and the high side should be 200 to 350psi any thing different would give you a poor a/c system Good luck ad keep me posted.
