My bmw m3 evo has an orange light come on when i pull off hard under the m badge on the dash is this to do with traction control? thanks

You did not mention the year. Is there not a button on your console or lower dash that is marked ASC (automatic stability control) or DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) or DTC (dynamic traction control)? A light should illuminate in your dash cluster when you press the button and ASC or DSC is turned off. DTC lights a light when you turn it on, which you do only in deep snow.

make sure that the handbrake is fully released, if a lever all the way up, and if a handle all the way in. If it isn't the drag on the wheels could activate traction control unit.

this is indicating a traction control warning or abs

sensor needs replacement or ABS module

There should be a switch on the left side on the dash about knee level I hope this helps.

this is the brake wear indicator saying that you need brake pads somewhere on the car (front or rear).

the other sounds like you either have the traction control (its a button with either DSC or ASC written on it) turned off or its showing you that it is off because you need need brake pads.

Your fuel injection pressure is probably leaking down causing gasoline to leak into the cylinders and resulting in a hard hot starting condition due to "flooding" of the engine. Try holding the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor of the car like your trying to go maximum speed down the highway and crank the engine for 10 seconds or less at a time. That tells your computer to enter the "clear flood" mode and stop injecting gas into the engine. Ask your repair shop to measure the fuel pressure and see if the pressure is bleeding off too rapidly.
