I'm having Toyota land cruiser Prado 2lte lj78 having fuel consumption problem and producing black smoke and not having good pick. I'm feeling like timing control valve is not working properly.

Black smoke always indicates that there is problem with the air/fuel mixture. This would have an great impact on the fuel economy. The possible faulty parts can be MAP sensor or the TPS or the O2 sensor could be bad too. There are just too many things that it could be.
Your turbocharger is leaking oil from the crankcase into the intake manifold. If you continue to run the engine it will deplete the crankcase oil to a point that will cause catastrophic engine failure. That is a technical term for "BLOWN" engine.
I've been resetting pajero's compasses but try to get to an area where you can do 360 degrees turns (empty car parks, ) press the reset button and make 2 complete 360 turns slowly and normally this should set the compass bearing.
Let us know how you get on. Cheers.
