I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the engine just died while I was driving it. I let it set for about 15 minutes and it started right up. I turned it off and now it won't start again.

You should have it scanned for any engine codes. Common problem with the jeeps are the crank positioning sensors. If you don't have access to a scan tool. Let it run until it cuts out. Then check and see if you lost spark, if no spark then follow trouble shooting guide for that, odds are you will be replacing crank sensor but could be other things. Process of elimination. Good luck

Sounds like a fuel pump. Some times when the pump is getting ready to quit it will work intermittently and then quit entirely.

I have a 1999 grand jeep it cut off when im

I just had this problem on my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Once the engine got warm, after about 15 to 20 minutes, the car would just die at random times, sometimes when doing 40 mph and sometimes at idle.

I ended up changing the Crankshaft Position Sensor and it cleared the issue.

My 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Will die going down the road. Sometimes it starts back up without me touching the key.other times I have to wait a few minutes before it will crank again.Any suggestions? Thank...

I've got to be reading this incorrectly...You are driving, the engine turns off...you pull off the road? And then without touching the key the engine re-starts, but you haven't touched the key? Or, sometimes you need to sit there for a few minutes and then turn the key to start it?

Jeep wont start

The crank position sensor is on the bell housing of the transmission, very hard to see, on passenger side, below the valve cover, depending if it is an early 2000 or a later 2000 model.
