Where is the starter located on a 2004 Suzuki Verona

Turn ignition key and nothing happens. I keep turning key several times and car eventually starts; it's an intermittent problem.

Follow the thick red cable from the battery positive post to where it terminates, it attaches to the starter.

2004 Suzuki Verona anti theft system won't let me unlock steering wheel or start my car..my key fits in the ignition but won't turn to start the engine. What do I do??

there may be pressure on the steering lock pin that prevents this
when trying to turn the key, move the steering wheel from side to side to let the pin come free.

My key wont turn in the ignition. it is locked up. My key wont turn in the ignition.

Try turning the steering wheel back and forth as you try to turn the key. I know it should be locked but sometimes kinda using a little force will unlock the ignition switch. I hope this helped you good luck.

2006 grand vitara - steering wheel locked - ignition wont turn

It sounds like sticking lock tumblers since beating on it seems to make it work once in awhile. No other items in the column will die out and work again upon pounding on it

Suzuki Verona 2004 Problem - I can't get the ignition switch to turn. I understand it could be a bad ignition switch, a bad brake pedal switch or a bad neutral safety switch. Are there any tricks to try...

can you move the wheel from side to side to relieve the pressure for the key to turn ? also try pushing in on it a bit harder too as you do this it may be just in the locked position due to pressure at the wheel

Ignition is locking up on my 2004 suzuki verona

Hi There, 3 possible things with this problem.
One could be a little spring in the shifter that broke. What it does is it prevents the shifter going over into the park slot. Try holding the shifter to the left and then try to remove the key.
Two the trumblerd in the ign switch is going bad. Preventing the key to turn. The ign switch needs to be replaced or have a lock smith try to installed new trumbles.
Three, have a new key cut and see if it works. When car keys get wore down, they don't pull the trunbles in, some stricks up in the key clyinder and prevents it from turning. Don

Turn key, nothing happens

It could be the park/neutral switch, next time it doesn't start try wiggling the shifter in park while turning the key, or shift to neutral and see if that will work. if that doesn't change the problem I would replace the ignition switch.
