No movement where the key goes in ?

If so - shoot some penatrating oil or wd-40 into the key hole..
Then push the key in & out many times before trying to turn it..
Sometimes the tumblers in there get dirty & stuck..
Good luck..

Drove through deep water now security stays on in 2000 Tahoe

This is likely a problem with the passlock 2 system created by gm which has had many complaints but never has been recalled. Place key in ignition, turn to ON Position. (do not start). Leave in ON position for Exactly 10 minutes. The light will shut off, Immediately start the vehicle once the light is off.

I have 2000 tahoe will not start not getting no fire

Verify where you are losing spark. Check at the end of the plug wires and at the coil. If you have nothing from the coil then either the coil is bad, ignition module is bad, or the crank sensor is bad. If you have a code puller or can get one it will tell you if crank sensor or ignition module is the problem.

Change starter on 2002 tahoe now motor wont start

If you had battery unhooked and assuming that it is turning over try this Put your key in turn it on dont start wait 10 mins remove key wait 10 seconds repeat this a total of 3 times. If that dont work try a different key do the same thing. This relearns your key to the ignition it started with Gm cars and trucks from 1999 to to 2006. It is a big problem but there is no recall that I know of. If that dont work a dealer needs to probably replace and reprogram your ignition switch and keys

Fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator are the most common problems.

2003 Tahoe intermittantly won't start

Sounds like an ignition switch, I believe there are 2 different switches a 10 pin and a 14 pin and they are made of plastic and they are kind of pricey. Cant say how hard they are to change have never run into a bad one yet
