Ok. in addition to Cadavers suggestions i would go further and have the crank sensor checked or more like replaced. This sensor is located behind the motor and on top ofthr rear motor housing. A reputable shop should repair this in about 30 min plus the cost of the sensor, wich will run you about 50 bucks. this should put an end to the mifires. Happy motoring.

Did you reset the codes first after new parts>???????????
misfire #3 and 6( repeats)
that is because misfire has 3 causes.
those codes really mean , Low combustion energy.!!!
and that is:
1: spark bad, ?
2: fueling wrong to those 2. (injectors or vacuum leaks)
3: compression weak on those 2.?

see?
the ECU measures the velocity of the crank shaft, (not speed) rate of velocity, and those codes, mean its slow.
too slow means its. weak combustion.
only
new plugs and coil. so....
i do compression first. just hate chasing my tail.
then check for no vacuum leaks near #3 and 6 (injector base gaskets)
then do a injector balance test with my pressure gauge.

the injectors can be clogged, , partial clogged or leak fuel.
they can leak air at the base.
i check plenum vacuum too for 19" Hg vacuum steady never bouncing. if it bounces head valves, bad, or ?

How to fix code P0306 cylinder 6 misfire?

Swap spark plug with cylinder 4. Swap COP (coil over plug) with cylinder 2.
If problem moves to cyl 4, bad spark plug.
If problem moves to cyl 2, bad COP.
If problem remains in cyl 6, suspect valve or piston problem.
Start with compression check

02 Toyota Tacoma when engine warms up cylinder 3 has a misfire po303

check spark plug of the cyl. switch plug with another cyl, run engine until warm to see if misfire still comes on. if it stays on the same cyl. fault could be high tension wire or coil or worse leaky valve or rings. if misfire switched to the other cyl just change plug or better replace all plugs

I have a 2007 ford taurus with p0300-p0303, p0306, p0316, p2195 and p2196. engine doesnt start anymore but battery is fine.

The old give me money for nothing statement from a mechanic instead of knowing how to fix it.
code p0300 refers to random/ multiple cylinder/s misfire detected===causes--spark plug/s---HT lead/s---injector/s---ignition coil/s--low compression--wiring
code po303 refers to cylinder 3 misfire detected--- engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/ fuel system---injector --ECT/MAF sensor --- ECM
code p0306 refers to cylinder 6 misfire detected===causes --engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition / fuel system---injector ---ECT/MAF sensor---ECM
code po316 refers to misfire detected during start up--first 1000 revs==causes--engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition /fuel system---injector
code po2195 refers to heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 1 bank 1 signal stuck lean===cayses ---HO2S---fuel pressure---injectors---intake leak
it also refers to O2S sensor 1 bank 1 same causes and also refers to HO2S 1 bank 1 implausible signal===causes --- short to positive---short to ground---Ho2S ---ECM
code po2196 refers to the same items as 2195 . some causes are also air intake restricted
Have a compression test done some where else and it will indicate the condition of the motor. The rest is sensors and wiring problems.

P0306 and P0316

Okay, you were getting code P0306, and a P0316. You have replaced plugs and swapped coils around are you still getting the code P0306? or is it a different code for a different cylinder now? Replacing your crankshaft position sensor in this case will merely waste your money. Its doing its job, the P0316 is telling you you had a misfire in the first 1000 revolutions of your engine at startup, the P0306 is telling you its probably cylinder #6 that had the problem. there is no code there indicating your CKP is bad.

Now if you swapped your coils and the misfire is still on cylinder 6, its either injector problem, or base engine. If the misfire has moved to another cylinder, replace that COP.

Hope helps.

Cyl. 3 miss fire code po303

my money would be on the coil cover, especially if it had been a long time since the last tune up. it is certainly worth trying, as this is part of a routine tune up anyways. good luck!
