I don't suppose to know Mitsubishi cars at all but it sounds like a safety interlock related to the clutch pedal mechanism hasn't been reconnected correctly or may have been adjusted out of tolerance during the remove and replace process.

My clutch on my 1985 Toyota truck has these problems the gears are hard to engage when truck warms up and now when I Release the clutch it moves less then a half an inch and the truck wants to take off can...

I suspect your clutch and pressure plate needs to be replaced, when you depress your pedal to disengage your transmission from your flywheel the pressure plate is not engaging enough to seperate the two it still has a little contact on your flywheel so it is going to be difficult to change gears and your relief is going to be shorter. If you change it out always remember buy a clutch kit with a clutch plate and pressure plate and pilot bushing and slave cylinder all in one kit.Always remove your flywheel and get it resurfaced that is a must ,the flywheels surface will become uneven over time and minimize your surface area on your disc,by getting it resurfaced it will assure your disc has 100% of the flywheel surface for hook up and when you depress your clutch it will clear your flywheel good luck

CLUTCH ON CITROEN C2 KEEPS DROPPING TO FLOOR AND WHINING SOUND WHEN MOTOR IS RUNNING

It jump because the clutch disc itself is good, but the clutch is not engaging-the pedal is not making the clutch engage. When it does, then you can shift without grinding, then you can shift period. Clutch pedal operates a cable or it operates a hydraulic system-they both, which ever one you have, move the clutch fork on the transmission bell housing just a bit to cause the clutch to disengage the transmission from the engine's flywheel...so you can shift, see, easy, smooth shifts, no problem, no grinding. Your clutch itself is okay, the pedal is just not operating it.

92 Toyota Pick up clutch doesnt enagage after replacing clutch, and flywheel?

are you sure the driven plate is on the correct side? The clutch bearing is correct on high? Does the slave or master cylinder works ok? do they keep steady pressure when needed? Is the clutch kit the correct part according to engine type?

I have a 1995 Chevy S10 4.6L 2WD Ext Cab truck. Just replaced the transmission and have bled the system. I started the engine and I cannot shift into first gear without grinding the gears. Any suggestions...

If you can see the slave cylinder actuate, then have someone push the clutch down and watch for movement. You should see the release lever move at least a half inch. Let me know if you get movement. I also would like to know if you had the flywheel machined and if you removed, replaced, or added any shims between the ****** and engine block.

HARD TO SHIFT INTO GEAR. IF I SHIFT INTO FIRST BEFORE I START THE TRUCK IT WILL SHIFT EASILY IF STARTED IT HARD TO SHIFT.

hi it sounds like your clutch is on its way out thats why when the engine switch off its easy for the gear to go in but when the engine is running the flywheel is turning and makes if very difficult or sometimes impossible to engage the gear as the clutch is worn and wont disengage .
