94 eldorado Blown dash cluster fuse - 1994 Cadillac Eldorado

Take it to a qualified repair shop . Nothing you can or should do now . You have no clue as too the complexity of the electronic's on this video.

If this is the analog intrument cluster and the entire instrument cluster is intermittently losing illumination, remove the instrument cluster light fuse and replace it with a new fuse. It is remotely possible that the actual fuse holder wires have broken due to age and would need to be soldered back together.
If this is the digital instrument cluster and the entire display is going dead, it could be anything from the wiring harness to the BCM. If it is the digital instrument cluster, I can really only recommend taking it to a reputable shop or Cadillac dealer to service.

1. check your under dash console for a blown cluster fuse
2. use a wood dowel or something non metallic or your hand and get up under the dash and push your cluster harness connection
3. they come loose sometimes

Two years ago I purchased an 05 Lesabre and the cluster lights on my dash all went out and the dealer said he thought it was a fuse. Fuses were ok. My battery was shot and he said because it was making the alternator charge at a high charge all the time it burnt out all my cluster lights. He replaced the battery and the cluster lights as well.

Check fuse panel for blown fuses and check trunk wiring for cut wire and check tail bulbs for blown light.

remove ac vents with flat head screwdriver . thair should be a 7mm bolt in each vent holding tha dash pad on remove them. remove the trim going to head liner from the dash pad. use a 7mm to remove the bolts holding the cluser in place should be one each side and 3 across the back . disconnect the wiring harness and your done. also disconnect the negative batery cable when doing this

costs like $100 an hour for automotive electrician. use a curcit breaker (looks like a fuse) its silver put it in wher the blown fuse is. buy a compass. and runn the compass over the wiring . when the compas moves in the direction of wiring its in that area. a short curcit creats a magnetic feild.

Check the fuses for the dash, but I'll bet it will need repaired. Usually on Cadillac the radio is in the trunk. The part in the dash is just the control to the radio and it is wired to the cluster. If you try to wire an aftermarket stereo to this plug that went to the radio controls, it shorts out and burns the cluster. Hopefully it blew the fuse before it burnt the cluster but usually not.

U ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PULL THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OUT AND SEND THE ENTIRE UNIT IN FOR REPAIR AT AN AUTHORIZED GM DIDGITAL DASH REPAIR CENTER, YOUR DEALER CAN SUPPLY THRE NAME AND PHOMNE NUMBER, THIS IS NOT A FUSE PROBLEM.
