My toyota hillux is lacking fuel pressure what must i check

Problem with fuel ,intercooler ,turbo it could numerous things

Check the fuel pressure, check for a cracked air intake hose from the air cleaner. Run a scan for fault codes.

Changed the fuel filter and now won't start. ... it seems that I have to loosen a fuel line from pump to atleast one cylinder , crank engine. ... are you another RHD toyota guy too? (hilux for me in banff) ... Car/suv should have bleeder/primer pump, trucks may have, and larger plant sized diesels probably won't.

CHECK FOR CODES FIRST,GO TO AUTO ZONE THEY CAN CHECK FOR FREE.

Get scanner check code or go to auto zone they check for free.

You checked the fuel pressure? What is it. P0171 says system lean, this can be a fuel pressure issue or lack of it, it can be a defective O2 sensor or wiring or an engine vacuum leak at the intake manifold or any vacuum hose.

Lack of rpm's i would make sure fuel filter is not plugged and also check the fuel pressure,

First thing I would check would be the fuel pump pressure,then go from there,but sounds like the fuel pump.
