Fuse wouldn't cause the relay to click , fuse just supply's battery power . What ever controls the relay is the problem , dome light switch , BCM - body control module , shorted wiring etc.... You don't say what year , make , model etc.... Looking at a wiring diagram to see what controls the dome light and what relay's are involved would be the thing to do , before replacing relay's an fuse etc...
Voltage to the coil of the courtesy lamp relay, dome, reading lamp, courtesy lamps, cargo Lamp, instrument panel (IP) compartment lamp and the underhood lamp is supplied from the Inadvertent power relay on CKT 1732. The inadvertent power relay receives voltage from the CTSY LP fuse which is hot at all times. Ground for the courtesy lamps goes through the courtesy lamp relay. Both relays are controlled by the body control module (BCM) based on inputs from door jamb switch, dome lamp switch or door handle switch. The BCM will supply a ground to the courtesy lamp relay when closing any one of the above switches to ground. Ground for the reading lamp, cargo lamp, IP compartment lamp and the underhood lamp is supplied by its own ground.
check in the fuse panel for a blown fuse or a time delay relay to be blown out. if this checks out to be good, then you have a short in the wiring to dome light. also you may look inside the dome light socket for a blown light bulb or a short in the socket.
Look under the Hood and see if there is a Fuse Relay Box. If so, There will be a Relay in here for "Illumination" Change this relay and check the other Fuses and the Fuses in the Panel inside the car with a Flashlight and see if they will not come on.
Well, I went to the dealer and was told that Integration relay does run both the remote locking, physical pressing the actual lock/unlock button on the armrest and dome light and door chime. I had NONE of these functioning, despite checking/replacing fuses, trying to reprogram the key, etc. I do not have the picture of the relay with me right now. Please explain the problem in little bit more detail and what did you already do try to fix it and I will see what I can do.
If it's like my 96 Ram, the dome light and headlights share a relay switch. My dome light turned on with only my parking lights on and the replacing the relay took care of it.
