Are you geting power to the fuel pump?? On some vehicles the electric fuel pump primes when the ignition is switched on to acc (i.e when all the dash lights come on etc) and on other vehicles the fuel pump doesnt start untill you turn the ignition over to the "start" position. Id check the fuel pump was acutally getting power and go from there

The fuel pump on your truck only runs while you are cranking over the engine or for a few seconds when the ignition key is turned on so check to make sure you have power at the fuel pump while cranking over the engine, if not first check all of the fuses and then check the fuel pump relay on the firewall.

My 2008 Kia Rio idle just fine but when I give gas no power

It sounds like there may be an issue with the fuel system or the throttle body on your 2008 Kia Rio. The fact that the car idles fine but lacks power when you give it gas suggests that there may be a problem with the flow of fuel to the engine or with the throttle body.
Possible causes for this issue include a clogged fuel filter, a malfunctioning fuel pump, or a problem with the throttle body.
Here are some steps you can try to fix the problem:
  1. Check the fuel filter: Make sure that the fuel filter is clean and not clogged. If it is dirty, replace it.
  2. Check the fuel pump: Make sure that the fuel pump is functioning properly and that it is delivering enough fuel to the engine.
  3. Check the throttle body: Make sure that the throttle body is clean and not clogged with carbon build-up. Clean the throttle body if necessary
  4. Check the air filter: Make sure that the air filter is clean and not clogged, if it is dirty, replace it.
  5. Check the vacuum lines: Make sure that the vacuum lines connected to the throttle body are not cracked or leaking.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, it's best to take your Kia Rio to a professional mechanic or a Kia dealer for further diagnosis and repair.
It's also worth noting that the noise you're hearing coming from the back of the motor could be something else and not related to the issues I've mentioned. So it is best to get it checked by a professional.

My 98 gmc safari starts but won't stay started unless u keep putting gas into the throtal thing behind the airvent I already changed the fuel filter still doing the same thing help

It might be your fuel pump not getting fuel to throttle body. Disconnect fuel line to throttle housing get someone to turn car over and see if fuel is getting pumped up. If not the pump could be faulty or fuel filter blocked. Also check to see if you car has a fuel cut of reset button it could just need a reset.

I have a 1993 gmc 2500 van with a 4.3 v 6 engine stalls will not start. get no fuel at throttle body inj. if I add fuel to throttle body van will start and run as long as I give it gas . when allowed to...

You must have a leak or one of the lines are clogged. The reason it stays running when your on the gas is because it keeps the fuel pressure up. Then when it shuts off it loses all pressure in the line and the pump cant handle the initial start with the leak in the line.

Car sat 3 years, tried to start. Had to replace fuel filter, still not getting fuel.

Did you check to make sure fuel is getting as far as the filter? Detach the fuel line at the filter and have someone crank the engine. If fuel doesn't get to the end of the line you've got a clog somewhere else or there's a break in the fuel line.

Got water in fuel tank, removed water from truckchanged fuel filter & plugs still will not start

was fuel pump changed and lines flushed---turn key on if fuel pump hums system should pressurize turn off and under hood check to see is gas is present in fuel line[have rag handy and press valve down at fuel test port which is in line between distributor and throttle body if no pressure filter clogged or pump not working -if fuel and water need to drain again -if fuel than need to test throttle body -spray some starter fluid into truck if starts or sputters than still have problem with fuel delivery --

05 silverado turns over wont start though jus repaced the fuel pump and still nothing spayed starting fluid domn it and runs for 10 to 15 seconds any suggestions

If starter fluid fires it up then your problem is still in the fuel system. You've already tested the throttle intake so move to fuel filter(s) next. Most cars with fuel filter problems will usually start or at least try to start but not necessarily. Next, disconnect the fuel line from the new pump and pump some gas into a glass jar. Filter that jar through a coffee filter and see if your fuel tank is dirty. This also seems unlikely because the truck is only an '05 but it is possible. You'll at least know whether your new pump is working right. I get a lot more new parts, that are no good, than you'd think possible. Next, check your fuel lines for kinks or other irregularities. The problem is almost definately in the fuel delivery system and not the throttle body/injector/carb and hopefully one of these will find it.
