SOURCE: where is the thermostat located for 2005 chevy

Follow the top radiator hose to the engine. You will find the thermostat Housing you will need to take it off and then you will find the thermostat.

Go to any Advance or Autozone Store and buy the Chiltons Manual for your vehicle. They are around 19.99 and this will have every repair that you will ever need to repair anything on your car. I love theses books. They have pictures and step by step instructions. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: How do you change the serpentine belt chevy malibu 200

Well you don't have to remove the tensioner. If you look at it, you'll see a 3/8 square hole in the arm of the tensioner. Put a ratchet wrench, or breaker bar in the hole, and you can move the tensioner, it is only spring loaded. The diagram for how the belt laces in should be on the radiator core support. Lace it for the majority around, move the tensioner, and once you have the belt in line, release the tension on the tensioner arm.

SOURCE: change spark plugs on 1998 Malibu V6 3.1

on the 3.1, it is easier to change back plugs if you remove the coil packs. so you can reach the plugs from the top of engine. it almost seems impossible but this will work. it will give more room to work.

What makes my Chevy malibu 2005 v6 put system code po128 out

http://www.samarins.com/diagnose/p0128.html
My wife's saturn vue is also throwing the same code. I'm starting with the thermostat because we just did the radiator (leaking) so I know there's no blockages there.

Changing termostat in 2005 malibu

Follow 'Top' Hose from radiator, that Alloy body the hose is connected to is the Thermostat housing, should be 2-3 bolts (12mm?) holding it down. Unbolt that, change-over thermostat and gasket (should be supplied with Thermo). Tighten bolts back up, Hose on, fill Coolant, then your done.
Hope that helps.

My 2005 chevy malibu v6 wont start,

Most likely, if you have never changed the battery it is getting pretty old and cant stand up to cold weather. If you have changed it have your battery and alternator checked at an automotive parts store. Most places do this service free of charge.

I search the temperature sensor

The temp sensor for the gauge is in the drivers side head between the #1 and #3 spark plugs. The one for the computer (if you have a ccc carb) is in the intake by the thermostat housing.
