SOURCE: want to replace signal fuse in volvo s40

i have a 98 s40. The fuses can be found internal (under the dashboard near the bonnethandle). Inside it you can find the fuse clamp and extra fuses. These can also be used for the external fusebox under the bonnet.
I have found the fuse that might be broken, but i can't replace it because it has some extra casing. It's for internal lights and the alarm.

S40, volvo, keep blowing a turn signal fuse

When a fuse keeps blowing everytime you replace it that means there is a short circuit along its cable. Check the flasher cables or call a car electrician to do it.

2005 Volvo S40 with key stuck in ignition. It turns off but key doesn't come, out of the steering wheel. Please advise needed, if lock change is required estimated cost of part and labour please.

Some ignition system locks will not release the key unless you push in towards the column while turning further off. It is a safety device to stop in advertent removal of the key while moving. Try that first.

How to replace a 2002 Volvo S40 turn signal switch?

Purchase a Haynes manual for your model car (they are cheap) which will clearly give you a step by step procedure in replacing your turn signal switch and more importantly, will highlight the possible hazards and precautions necessary to do the job safely.

Break failure code on volvo s40. also traction control, falure, car goes into limp mode, no idicators

If its the ABS warning, and traction control doesn't work, then it will be a fault with one of the sensor rings, or abs sensor. Your easiest method is to have a chat with local dealer, see if a tech can plug it in to diagnostics for a lunchtime cash in hand job. It will point you to which wheel has the problem.

2001 volvo s40- When defrost is chosen on control, the AC light comes on and the air exits the front vents. Very little air exits the defrost ducts on wnshield

I am not an expert of Volvo's but what you describe is normal operation for most cars. If hot air was directed at a very cold windshield it could crack it. So when you kick it over to defrost, the hot air is mixed with AC air and the amount of air flow is restricted so that it doesn't crack.

Did the operation of your Volvo defrost system seem to change all of a sudden and that is the reason you posted this? If so how did it change?
