Where is the ignition relay for volvo 850 tdi

Sounds like you have a broken wire between the fuse box and the pump..
Check colour on the pump wire and trace back to box.. if you cannot find it and its only the pump playing up run a new wire from the FEED side of fuse to the pump but remove the old wire before connection up.. Or use a test light to find the short in old power line..

Under the hood the fuse compartment has four screw holding it down. Undo the screws and pick the lid up. you will then see some relays located there. The fuel pump relay is the pinkish colored one

checked the timing belt again it is posible that you mistake timing anyway if spark on the plug had then go to retiming
