2002 yukon xl .My locks & alarm system dont work ! What do i do ? I checked fuses also

Power Door Locks Inoperative - All Doors and Switches ?
The MIR/LOCK fuse supplies battery positive voltage for the power mirrors, power door lock switches and the memory seat switch (if equipped). If the MIR/LOCK fuse is open, all systems on the fuse would be inoperative. The fault could be a short to ground in the battery positive voltage circuit, however, a short to ground in the power mirror motor control or the memory seat control circuits could also be the cause if the fuse opens after any of the switches are activated. If a short to ground exists in either the door lock or unlock relay control circuits, a DTC (B3137 or B3147) would set when the BCM commands a lock or unlock function.

The Content Theft Deterrent function provides the theft deterrent by sounding the horn and flashing the headlamps and the park lamps when there is an unauthorized vehicle entry or there is tampering detected.
SECURITY Telltale The SECURITY telltale on the instrument cluster is controlled by both the VTD system and the CTD system.
?€¢
The VTD system commands the instrument cluster to control the telltale only when the ignition switch is ON. The VTD system uses the telltale as a malfunction indicator. If a DTC is present in the VTD system when the ignition is ON, the telltale will be illuminated.

?€¢
The CTD system commands the instrument cluster to control the telltale only when the ignition switch is OFF. The CTD system uses the telltale to identify system status.

-
Telltale FLASHING -- The system is in standby mode. The system is not ready to arm (a door is open).

-
Telltale ON STEADY -- The system is in delay mode. The system is ready to arm and is executing a time delay of 15 seconds before turning the lamp OFF and transitioning to armed mode.

-
Telltale OFF -- The system may or may not be armed.
Body Control Module (BCM) The body control module (BCM) monitors several inputs in order to arm and disarm the CTD system. The BCM controls the alarm function outputs. When the BCM detects an unauthorized entry (any door opened), the BCM applies ground to the horn, the park lamp and the headlamp relays. The BCM will send messages to the security telltale in the instrument cluster through the Class 2 serial data link. The BCM has the following 8 basic modes for operating the CTD system. The more detailed descriptions are below.
?€¢
Off state

?€¢
Idle state

?€¢
Disarmed state

?€¢
Ready-to-arm state

?€¢
Arm initiated state

?€¢
Arm delay state

?€¢
Armed state

?€¢
Alarm state

The BCM has the following 6 discrete inputs in order to monitor the CTD system:
?€¢
Ignition 1

?€¢
Driver door latch (door jamb) switch

?€¢
Passenger door latch (door jamb) switch

?€¢
Door lock relay

?€¢
Door key switch

?€¢
Passenger door unlock relay

The BCM applies ground once per second for approximately 2 minutes, or until a valid input to disarm the system is received by the BCM.

Why does the fuse immediately blow on my power door locks? how to fix this?

You have a short somewhere in the system. Maybe one of the lock actuators or a switch. To test disconnect all locks and switch then replace fuse if don't blow start with driver door and reconnect lock check fuse see if it blew if not reconnect switch active lock check fuse see if ok. Continue with each door separate using same steps until fuse no good you will have found short. Replace shorted part.

Electronic door locks deactivated. Will not work using FOB or the electronic switch inside the doors.

Jay, If problems did indeed happen after that shop checked things, return and ask them to fix back to the way it was prior to them tinkering around.

Mervia. Why is central locking not locking any door?

It's only an educated guess. If all other locks switches are working it' either the switch panel itself or an electrical short. Switches are popular, get it checked first

I have a 1996 gmc jimmy. I was on my way home and all of a sudden my doors start locking and unlocking. What is going on? Is it a short? It does not have a keyless entry. Someone please help

some cars have a lock control module that locks the doors once a certain road sped is reached
if your vehicle locks the doors as you accelerate then it will be that control module or if not a short in the central door locking system

Relay for door locks

There are no relays in this system. The door switches communicate with the drier door ECU. The ECU communicates with the body control module and the BCM toggles + and - to the power door locks.

Headlights do not work, also seems like a short in the door locks when moving the headlight switch

anything related to headlamps, instrument lights, door locks, etc... is typically related to a separate module called the BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)
