My 2010 Chevrolet Aveo LT is making a clicking sound when I turn on my AC, but I turn it off it stops- occassionally blowing cool air but then turning hot. Any suggestion for an easy fix without breaking the bank Any suggestions to get assistance in funding repairs for this, it only has 41k miles and summer is coming -

Your system is low on R134....the clicking is the compressor engaging and disengaging. You will get cool air while compressor is on, then warm when its off. They will act this way when R134 is low. Now either a leak in the system, or the system just needs a boost. Another thing to check is the condensor fan under the hood. When you turn the AC on,the condensor fan needs to be running, if its not then its a bad fan motor, relay, or fan sensor. I don;t know what your abilities are, but maybe armed with this info you can work on it yourself, or at least not get taken advantage of at the mechanics. Good luck !!

Replaced the compressor. Found out the the clutch was broke. Air condition good as new. Luckily, the dealership emphasized and fix everything for $200 actual cost $1700. I got lucky.

SOURCE: 2004 chevrolet suburban AC blows hot/cold at same time

You need to replace the drivers side temp actuator that is located on the left side of the HVAC box. It is retained by 3 screws and is fairly easy to replace.

SOURCE: I have a 2002 Chevy S10 4.3 V6 PU that a P0135

This is a o2 sensor code.

You might have 4 of those they are usually before and after each catilizer.

scanner should give you some other info like the code plus something like "bad heatther circuit sensor 1 bank 2" or "sensor 2 bank1"

this info tells you which side and which sensor is bad.

SOURCE: My 08 Impala heater blows hot air when moving and

try topping up the radiator.... there might not be enough antifreeze in the system when stopped and the water pump not pumping as much water... it could create an air pocket in the heater core and while stopped, and water in the core, or air even, will cool off until you start moving again

2005 Chevy Aveo blows hot air at idle. I just replaced electric fan and new radiator.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from AC Cars, makers of the AC Cobra.

It could be many things.
AC / Heater Switch
AC Clutch
Fuses and Relays.
Body Control Module communication issue.

You need an AC specialist or an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer. some ideas in the link

I have a 2010 chevy aveo. The signal relay for the turn signal clicks constantly when not using the flashers or the blinkers. I replaced the relay and it still clicks. not sure what is causing this.

It may be a grounding problem in the wiring.. probably the turn signal switch that is located inside the steering column..These switches have plastic parts that can crack and close a circuit. You need a dealer repair as there are various sensors and sensitive wiring inside the column that controls deployment of the air bag.

2009 chevy AVEO 5 ac blows hot air

The guage needs to read between 35/40 psi.. If its much higher you may be overfull, this causes it to not cool.. Fix by letting some freon out, then top it back to needed pressure.. If pressure is correct, it would be a clog in the system.. Usually an orafice tube or accumulator..good luck!

My ac is acting funky. my ac will blow cold air as im moving. once i stop and idle for longer than 3 or 4 minutes, something will kick on and then it will start to blow hot air. as this happens, my car...

Start by checking to make sure that the a/c condensor and radiator is not full off debris. If the condensor and radiator were full of debris it will limit the air flow from the engine cooling fan which in tern will cause a high discharge pressure on the discharge on the a/c causing poor or no cooling at idle and could also cause vehicle to overheat. Check and make sure that the cooling fan as well as the condensor fan are coming on together when the a/c is turned on if equipped with 2 fans.

How can i get the vents to blow cool or cold air instead of hot air

Your Heater tap is probably stuck in the on posision. This is in the engine bay. Not sure if yors is vacume, electric or cable operated. Temporary fix bypass the heater alltogether ie: put the hoses that go to the tap reroute to the motor

sounds like you may have developed a leak in the system, when the pressure in the system is low it will cause the compressor to cycle off and on. Have you tried to charge the system? P.S. Dont know if you are aware but hte compressor kicks on when the heat is on as well as he AC.I hope this helps and good luck !!
