SOURCE: change drivers side door panel on 94 chevy p.u.

unscrew the inside handle and pop of the window arm....then slowly work your way around the panel poping loose the plastic rivits on the inside edge...lift panel upwards to unhang it from window lip...thats the plastic panel...the metal panel inside that is pretty self explanitory..unscrew and take off the clips holding the controle arms to it and remove...do use caution as parts are very sharp and will slice your fingers and hands.

SOURCE: How do you remove the shifter knob on a 2000 Chevy

Well it either screws off, depending on the supplier, or look for a small clip pushed into the shaft through the knob.

SOURCE: removing shifter knob on 07 chevy equinox

There is a set screw under the crome ring at the bottom of the shifter knob. use a small flat screw driver and pry down on the chrome ring and it should come down and the set screw is under the chrome ring

How do you remove shifter knob on 2014 Chevy Equinox?

You have to hold this shift knob. And then use a wrench because it will probably be in there tightly. Use a wrench to turn the nut clockwise

Alright I have a few problems here. I have a 1987 dodge d50 manual transmission.. so the shifter linkage is really loose need some advice on how to tighten it? Also I can't shift in to 4th

I had a 1984 D50 years ago with a manual transmission. If I remember right, there is a boot covering the lower portion of the shift lever, and the boot was held in place by a frame screwed to the floor. If you remove the screws, and the knob on the shifter, you should be able to lift the boot and frame up off the shifter. Look where the shifter goes into the transmission, and see if there are visible bolts. Make sure these bolts are all there and are tight. (Don't force the bolts tight - make sure the shifter is located in the transmission properly.)
If the bolts are there and are all tight, then you have some problems internally in the selector rod(s) and/or shift forks, and the transmission will have to be removed and disassembled to repair it.

Does anyone know a possible way to remove the shift knob on my 94 passport? I bought a new knob and want to replace it, but I can't figure out how to take off the old one. I tried to just turn it left

knobs screw on normally and there is a small locking nut underneath the knob . IT could look like a taper ring to finish off the knob but it should turn down the lever to release the knob.

My truck is 1995 chevy 1500 v8 the shifter will move but wont shift

If it is a standard shift the shift linkage is broken and must be repaired. Get a Haynes repair manual it will walk you through step by step exactly how to disassemble the shifter linkage there is not enough room on this forum to give you the info.

Shifter knob removal

If it's a stickshift, many come off by prying out the shift pattern plate on top, there is a nut underneath. Best done when it's warm...colder it is the harder it is to remove. (use small screwdriver and pry up)
