1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8. limited addition shuts off.

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 limited additon just shuts off when driving. It seems like it loses power. What might this be? It can do it once and when started up again, i can go a day driving and it doesnt do it.

No sir they will not interchange. i worked at a transmission shop for 7 years. the inline 6 has a 500 trans in it and the v8 has a 518 trans in it. the bellhousings are different.
