Variable skid control light came on my 2007 Toyota Hylander after service and won't shut off

If you have not changed your oil in awhile i believe it could be that or the manufacturer has set up a warning light to remind the operator that it is time for a certain maintenance issue . Call the dealer service department and they will give you the info that you need. Make sure you write down your mileage before you call because you will most likely need it so they can give you the proper info.

Two possibilities:

1. The switch on the light is set to be on all the time.

2. The door switch is not functioning correctly. Find the switch and try depressing it manually and see if you can get the light to turn off. If so, replace the switch.

yes over time it will kill the battery
check the door switch
some head light switches have a position that keeps the interriier lights on
