Screeching noise when steering

I have a 2005 dodge Caravan - 85K miles - with occasional screeching noise in the front endwhen I turn the wheel even slightly - particularly noticeable in parking lots, when the car has been sitting for a while. It's not all the time, but I can't find a pattern for when it will or won't happen. Drives and steers fine otherwise.

These are your brake pads letting you know that you only have %10 left. There are little metal tabs that rub on your rotors when your brakes are low and cause a squeeling noise. Just replace your front brakes.

Screeching noise coming from driver side tire

The high pitch sound may come from the brake pads as metal parts hit the disc to signal the owner that it needs change. The metal parts gets exposed when the pads have worn out. The brake also has a hub to cover the disc. See if the metal plate is hitting it but this issue would appear when the wheels are in motion. Check if it is the belts, have the tension checked out. Other than that the bearings are the other items on your wheel that could cause a high pitched sound when you car is in motion.

2002 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN Steering Noise

I had a similar problem with a popping - clanking noise when I was turning the Steering Wheel and going at a slow speed.
See if you can have someone listen outside the car while you drive it to be sure.
I replaced the one drive axle and the problem was solved.
