talk with a radiator specialist shop but as most radiators are aluminum cores with plastic tanks and have been for a long time the common anti freeze additive was ethylene glycol (green color) and there was no problem
the different color ( red or pink) was a specialist product for the internals of the engine and other parts
if the prestone has active ingredients of ethylene glycol it will be ok
Depends on the size of the hole and where it's at. Hose leaks (along the hose or at connections) require a new hose. Holes in gaskets and the radiator usually require replacement.
If the hole is small enough (head gaskets, radiator, etc.) a stop-leak repair additive often works - I recommend aluminum based ones, but others such as Bars Leak can also be effective.
The best fix is a new radiator. The newer radiators that have plastic tanks just don't last as long as the copper ones of years ago. Most radiator shops won't fix plastic and aluminum radiators. and if they do it will cost about the same to fix as a new one will.
the easiest way to tell if it is Metal or Aluminum is with a Magnet if it sticks its metal if not then its aluminum otherwise it may be both as the ribs are usually aluminum and brass for the vent-tubes
however if it is all aluminum it should be all the color silver
If aluminum radiator you may run into problems repairing. If copper. No problem/ Those radiators Aluminum aren't as expensive as the copper. Good luck, Ned
