My 1993 honda accord is overheating. new thermostat, new water pump, there is a bottom hose that is leaking, and the fans do not come on. the fan motor is good. thinking it might be the coolant temp sending unit. not to sure on how to check those switches. i know one is the coolant temp sensor for the ECM, can i check them in a cheap old school kinda way? -tool less and desperate

remember which way you put the thermostat in. Was the bulk of the body (bit around the spring or copper body ) facing the head water or pointing up the hose. It should be facing the head water. Check fault codes for fan sensor fault.
You may have air in the system, find the highest spot in the cooling system .Try open a hose and if there is a bleeder opening that.If it overheating at low speeds it is a water flow problem(volumn). I would suspect a bad water pump or a thermostat stuck partially open. The timing belt drives water pump and if it is loose then that could be a problem.if you replaced the radiator because of rust then the blades on water pump could be worn.Rust is abrasive.
any motor swap? have a block test done to check for the headgasket... it's possible you have warped the head with the list of cooling issues you have had.
SOUNDS LIKE YOUR THERMOSTAT IS STICKING,REPLACE THERMOSTAT FIRST OVERHEATING WILL DAMAGE ENGINE.IF THAT DOSEN'T WORK HAVE WATER PUMP CHECKED.FANS WON'T TURN ON IF HEAT FROM ENGINE IS NOT FLOWING INTO RAD BECAUSE THEROMOSTAT STUCK CLOSED,OR WATER PUMP FAILING
