SOURCE: HOW TO INSTALL TOW BAR PROBLEM BMW318i/e46 1999

tow bars are mad specific for each make and model of car. As they have to be certified for the fitment by a qualified fitter then this is a job outside the legal expertise of the average owner. I suggest that you have a tow-bar fitting shop fit it for you and they will have the correct wiring for the trailer plug.

I have a 2004 grand prix gt my coolant temperature gauge goes up when um park but when I drive it goes back to normal.its not running hot I change thermostat both fans work I think its the water pump r the...

First off when did this start? Was it prior to the Thermostat replacement or after? What was the purpose of relacing the tstat?

From my experience use only a high quality t-stat that maintains a constant temp. is the best solution, it's easy to try and save a few bucks I'm just as guilty as the next guy however I've had many years of experience in the automotive field, throughout the years I've replaced hundreds if not thousands of t-stats and all are not even close to created equal. My opinion is not to go to the big box stores to purchase an off branded t-stat these t-stats open very inconsistantly and tend to have temps that fluctuate greatly. Commonly these economy t-stats are rated at say 195 degrees however they tend to snap open and closed very fast and erratically causing the temp to suddenly drop and then snap closed when the coolant falls below the opening temp. And again reopen not at the 195 always but sometime not opening until say 205 or 210 and then again snaping open and the cycle continues. Buy a premium t-stat and you'll be glad you did.

Where is the ECT sensor on the 2006 Nissan Sentra. the error code was PO128

P0128 is a code for engine temp below regulated temp. It usually sets when the t-stat goes bad and is either broken or stuck open. Either of which can happen on the sentra. Replace the t-stat (especially if you have noticed that your temp gauge has been reading a little low) and that should solve the problem.

Engine temp

try skewing the engine coolant temperature sensor with a multi-meter and a temp vs resistance or voltage chart. the ect could be out of range and not set a code. also check actual engine temp with an infrared thermometer. hope this helps

My blowers have stopped working could this be the fuse can any help Thanks

BMW318i are a bugger to find some of these faults, but there is a set of fuses,on drivers side under dash.there is also another set under the bonnet and also the relays are also under the bonnet and in the car as it could be a relay problem..
Or it could be a sensor on the temp switch and or on the aircom sensor or relay so get them all checked out'.
Let me know how you go RON
