making sure that the battery is good and connected, unlock the driver's door from the outside useing the key. Do it ant way if the door is already unlocked.

the problem is the fuel door release switch in the driver's door or the actuator. I have seen the switch wear out but I've only heard rumors of the actuator dying. There is a contact inside the switch that may be touching or not touch when the switch is pulled. Compare to the trunk release switch. as for manually opening it... it is quite a simple system however no manual cable to pull. If you pry at the carpeting behind rear seats you'll be able to access that area it is possible to manually open it. It's always possible that it is frozen though so maybe try some hot water or pulling it into a garage if you have one.

It has either lost its code or it has just enough power to iluminate the led lamp but not to open the doors, pull the remote and key part away from each other then split the remote down the centre to get to the battery, try a battery you will probably find that it will work, seen it loads of times.
