Make sure the cables are clean where they connect,,and have the battery tested with a load tester,if it shows 12.9 that is good, but a lot of the times the battery will not have any amps,,then if all this checks out,try tapping on the starter to see if it will start up as you try to turn the key to start the engine. If the starter tries,or starts the engine ,then replace the stARTER.

I am the type that likes to jump start a car to troubleshoot it. If you jump start the car and it starts that tells you that the starter and engine is good and the problem is in your battery or alternator. If it doesn't start then I take the serpentine belt off and try to turn the engine with a large wrench. If it rotates, then I replace the starter and starter solenoid.

When trying to start get clicking noise door locks make noise and gauges move.

Sounds like a bad connection at the battery terminals, or a low battery.

Car ran good yesterday..won't start today..completely dead..no clicking when trying to start

Open hood and look at left side of engine compartment. Find the braid jumper going from engine block to fender. Grab hold and wiggle. It may be loose from corrosion at the fender end. If possible tighten. If not replace with a new heavy jumper from block to body of car. This a major design flaw since battery charging current and starter current is forced through this skimpy wire and connection. I replaced battery and alternator twice before discovering this defect.

Getting one click sound when trying to start truck

Dead Battery. Try jump starting, then run it by any good parts store and have charging system tested and battery "load tested". Most parts stores (Autozone, Advance, etc..) will do this FREE

Will not crank

Did you replace the starter relay yet ?
A quick and repeated clicking sound, like a mini machine gun firing sound is usually a dead battery or bad electrical connection, but it could also be a bad starter relay.
You sound experienced enough to know if you see a corroded wiring connection this would be a sign of a bad connection.
Are you sure the new battery has enough charge in it to turn the car over? Try jump starting it just in case.
Good luck and keep us posted.
