Battery light stays on

I am having problems with my 2000 Dodge Intepid. The battery light stays on even though I changed the battery and the alternator. I do not want to drive it until I can figure out what is wrong.

have you checked the output of the altenator with a volt meter? check while engine is running, turn on everything in the car, headlights, a/c, blower on high, wipers etc. then read the voltage at the battery, should be above 13.5v, if it is not then your altenator is not holding the load of you car and even though you just replaced it, it may not be good. Hope this helps, Let me know.

2007 dodge caliber has full power to all electronics. The engine light stays on and when you turn the car to start nothing. Turning the key does not even deam the lights like the starter is getting no

Sounds like the solenoid on the starter is not getting any power, check the small wire connection on the starter to see if there is power in the start position, if not you have an ignition switch problem or an open circuit between the ignition switch and starter solenoid... if you do have power in the crank position then you have a bad starter.

All the lights and every thing work ..it wouldnt crank lastnight ..we waited a little bit and it cranked but this morning it wont ...never a hint of a problem befofe....2004 dodge stratus

Did you verify that your battery is not the problem. Easy way to do this is hook up a voltmeter to the battery and try and start the car. If battery voltage falls below 9-10 volts you need to replace your battery. Even though your lights work the battery may not have enough capacity to turn the starter.

How do i replace fuel filter 2000 dodge intepid

I regret to inform you there is no fuel filter on this car. At least, that is the best information I can gather after talking to people at three auto parts store chains, consulting the dodge website, ebay, and the Haynes manual.
This car apparently uses a simple strainer of some sort in the fuel pump assembly. The assembly contains the pump, guage sending unit, and such filters as it has. From that unit to the fuel rail and injectors, there is nothing but fuel line.
The assembly can be sourced from any major retailer and many minor ones for about 300$. I wouldn't bother replacing it though, unless the fuel pump itself is not working.
