SOURCE: gas light stays on even when tank is full

the float sensor attahced to your fuel pump sounds as though it is not working properly. Usually this occurs when the car rides on E many times and becomes damaged. depending on the model it may be necessary to replaced the sensor assembly or if it is the complete unit the whole fuel pump.

Also, depending on your driving habits your car can use more gas if your are driving in traffic (stop and go). Average out your fuel mileage by filling up a few times and keeping a log of the gas consumed. Do this by reseting the trip meter when you fill up and when you fill up again divide the total mileage on your trip meter by the amount of gas you used by getting the amount of gallons it took to fill up again. ex. 360miles divided by 10gals = 36 miles per gallon.

note. make sure you check your air filter (is it clean?) and tire pressure (32psi) these can be contributing factors to poor gas mileage

SOURCE: Honda Accord Euro 2005 Central Locking

Hi, it is certainly the actuator and usually if 1 goes, the others soon follow as they have been used to lock or unlock exactly the same amount of times. Which means you have to replace the four doors.

Hi, I am looking for help with my 2012 Honda Civic Si that has had a check charging system message for about a month now. It seems to start/run just as it always has. I replaced the ELD and I still have...

The standard alternator charging system is relatively crude and isn't really suited to the ancient lead-acid battery technology used on vehicles (because it is relatively cheap). The best that can usually be claimed for them is they keep a fully charged battery fully charged, though many don't accomplish that well when the battery is ageing.
The high internal impedance of the battery and the even higher internal impedance of an older battery means voltage regulation isn't the best way of doing things.

Smart charging systems go some way to addressing this drawback. The Honda system measures the current consumed by the car's electrical equipment and adjusts the output of the alternator accordingly.
If the battery is maintaining a good state of charge there probably isn't much wrong with the charging system.

When the system records a fault it is best not to guess but to have the fault code read and when repaired the fault should be erased. Many logged faults don't go away by themselves.

What replacement battery should i get for my 2005 Honda Pilot EXL with RES? Since Honda"s drain a lot more with the battery... ie RES for kids... GPS for mom... other electronics... I would like value for...

While I know that a tight budget is important (we're all feeling it) you are ina part of the country where weather is not your friend. Batteries have a toll taken on them with extreme cold and you need a battery that will stand up to the conditions.

I recommend the...
DieHard Gold North (with exchange)
Sold by Sears | Sears Item# 02833035000 | Model# 33035
$104.99

It's optimized for your climate, has a full 3 year replacement warranty and a 10 year pro-rated warranty. It is well-suited for the additional electronics your Honda has.

Yes, you can find a cheaper battery, but is it worth it should the battery fail and your family is in a snow storm or other lousy conditions? I think not!

The battery went dead in my 2005 nissan altima, replaced battery now my clock or radio wont work.

Hi,

The clock & radio usually share the same accessory fuse.

1. Check the 10A Radio/accessory fuse in the cabin fusebox and replace if blown.
2. Check the fusable links from the + (red) battery cable to ensure they're ok and secure.
3. Check accessory relay, in engine fusebox.

Please advise outcome...
