Sounds like a bad tank or line... Does it leak when the car is not running? If it only leaks when you running you have a bad line. If you leak all of the time then the tank needs replaced.

SOURCE: churping fan noise inside car behind the middle heater/air vent and a smell of burning oil or anti-freeze coats me and my clothes while inside car Help Help.

Not familiar with Saab at all, but on every other car made, if you smell coolant inside the car and a fog covers the windows, the heater core needs to be replaced. Depending on the design of the heater box that contains your blower motor and heater core, leaking coolant may be destroying your blower motor, and causing the noises and metal smell.

It is not the anti thief systm

Could be as simple as an air lock in your fuel lines. Its best to never let your tank get below one quarter full as it can cause moisture to build up in your tank as well. It does not cost any more to keep a full tank than to let it run empty then fill it.

Why my 2000 corvette leaks gas when I fill the tank?

put the car up and check for visual signs of were it is leaking. sounds like its leaking up by the top of the tank. you will have to drop the tank, do this with it nearly empty, it could be even a worn seal.

The hose is on the side of the gas cap and it runs down to the bottom of the quarter panel. When I filled the gas tank up, gas comes out of this hose. We just had the fuel pump replaced. Its not leaking...

There are normally two hose lines from the fuel filler that run to the tank. The larger one carries the fuel from the nozzle to the tank. The smaller one is a vent hose that allows vapors to leave the top of the tank while filling. These vapors come back to the nozzle area and can be vented and/or collected by the nozzle depending upon air pollution standards in your area. If your second hose is running to the bottom of the quarter panel, it is probably the vent hose that may not have been reconnected at the top of the tank when the fuel pump was replaced. The fuel running down there is from kickback fuel at the time the pump shuts off. The real problem is that the vent line is open on top of the tank and when the tank is full, that can allow vapors and fuel to escape out of there and it could contact hot exhaust areas - a major fire or explosion hazard. Have this inspected and repaired IMMEDIATELY.

Sounds like at 1/4 reading, the actual reading of the fuel should be empty.Your gauge sending unit in the tank is most likely defective. Many are on these.

change the fuel filter for one, this is telling you that your pick up in the tank is getting clogged, I would drop my tank, and drain it, flush it, and check the pump at that time

My gas guage stays on empty and the tank is full

Sounds like your senor in the gas tank it self is bad. Most cars have a float that read out how full the tank is and when it goes out it will stay stuck showing you on the dash that your tank is empty even though it is full.

That sounds like your best bet to replace the fuel tank or try to have the dent removed, all cars have specific jacking points on the lower body to prevent such mishaps, consult your Owner's Manual for specific locations or ask a reputable mechanic where those locations are.

2004 mazda 6 with 3.0l V6..WHen the gas guage falls below a quarter tank the car shutters really bad getting on and off the interstate. Almost as if no gas is getting pushed to the engine. Dealer ship said...

Find out how many gallons your fuel tank holds. Once it falls below a 1/4 tank and starts to shutter. Proceed to the nearest gas station and fill up. If you fill it up with 12 gallons and your tank holds 12 gallons then your fuel gauge is off. So it should be reading empty instead a 1/4 tank.
