Front oxygen sensor code. Check the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator and make sure it is ok before you replace the sensor. Any vacuum leak can also cause the code.

SOURCE: Pulled Codes Volvo 1995 850 Need Help

I would lean toward the MAF sensor they were known for going bad, which would cause all these codes. It wouldn't hurt to take the IAC off and spray it out with carb cleaner and some WD40, just to cover your bases. Both these units were made by Bosch and the MAF failed alot more often then the IAC.

SOURCE: 96 volvo 850 speedometer somtimes works then it drops to 0

Two questions: Is your odometer working? If not then it's probably a broken gear by the stepper motor that Emissionwiz mentioned. Is your ABS and/or TRACS light on intermittently or constantly. If so that is a common sign your ABS control module has gone or is going bad. This usually happens before the speedometer starts acting up. Either one of these will start intermittently and finally end up with the speedometer not functioning at all, and both are pretty common failures with this model.

SOURCE: how do you replace o2 sensor in volvo 850..by the

an o2 sensor is near the catalytic. converter on the exhaust either right before it or right behind it. you can use a wrench, probably going to be larger than a 13-15mm wrench. they unscrew out of the exhaust tube and disconnect from a main line. take them out, and re connect the new ones. let me know how it works!

SOURCE: replace brake light 850 volvo wagon

It is really easy, and requires no tools. There is a flush panel inside the car behind the lights, using fingernails pry it off, then all the bulbs are visible and quickly changed out.

What do I when my 98 volvo s70 2.4L engine has trouble codes po133 & po442?

Po133 is and oxygen sensor code. Replace the front oxygen sensor use a bosch or OE sensor only. P0442 is and evap system leak. Most common fault is a cracked hose at the evap cannister at the right rear of the car.

Have VOLVO 850. codes p0135 p0137 how to fix

Hi.

The two codes concern the O2 sensors.

P0135: Front HO2S Preheating low/high
P0137: Rear HO2S signal low

That does not mean that the two sensors are faulty. Two O2 sensors failing at the same time would be quite unusual. Before replacing the sensors check their wiring and check the ECU connectors. If you got the two codes at the same time, then wiring may be the problem. If wiring looks OK replace the sensors and see if this does fix the problem.

Regards.

I fix my camshaft sensor cost $548.00 at dealer they said that po133 code (oxgen sensor) need to be replaced but that code did not pull up on my scanner only p1309 what should i do?

The code po133 means o2 sensor checked slow (response 1/1). You will need to replace the o2 sensor to correct the problem. You can purchase the o2 sensor yourself and replace it at home. It's no big problem in doing it yourself unless you want to take it back to the dealer. Hope this will help.

O2 sensor 1996 volvo fail emission test

If you have trouble codes stored in your cars computer for O2 sensors a fuse will not fix it. One or all of the O2's may need to be replaced. There are test that can be done to confirm which one.

I took my car to autozone to get the OBDII code. He said it was a O2 sensore but did not know which one? Also is it a 2 wire or 3 wire O2 Sensor for a 1996 850 Turbo?

When the codes are read they generally have an identifying number for the Oxygen sensors. For instance: "B1S1" This means" exhaust bank one, sensor one. THe first sensor of your first bank.

Your VOLVO 850 is an inline 5-cylinder, so it has just one exhaust bank I believe. So it should have an Oxy sensor upstream and one downstream of the catalytic converter. The upstream one is sensing lean/rich condition of your just-burned fuel mixture, while the downstream one measures efficiency of your catalytic converter. I suggest you go somewhere else to have the car checked and scanned. Nothing against the parts dealers, but those guys are barely cashiers, as you found out. It was free right? Worth just what you paid for it, nothing!!! Maintain your Volvo so it will take care of you for years to come.
