I bought the car and drove it home a distance of maybe 5 miles and it seemed fine, I arranged for a garage to take it away to adjust the headlights and change the speedo so I could register it in the UK. They phoned me the same day and told me there was a fault with the steering and when you get up to 40MPH the car drifts and it is unsafe to drive that was six months ago and they tell me they can not get a replacement part.
Its either in the suspension.. or wheel alignment or the brake is hanging up on that one side..what part cant they get...

you still have this car after 6 mon ths? knowing its unsafe??I would have been done with it within weeks .. not months.. unless this is an old posting..
i have not used the car as it is unsafe to drive and i would not sell a unsafe vehicle to anybody, so yes i still have the car and still looking for the parts to fix it.

you seriously must like this dead car to hang on to it for all this time unless you have already spent way too much money on it..if a parts store cant get parts.. what does that tell you??it tells me to be rid of the car..there are better cars to spend money on..I am on disability and own a running 91 dodge.. and a running 89 ford van..I fix them myself...have been for years..car has 350,000 plus miles on it..van has a little more than half of that..but since its bad on gas.. I dont run it unless I have to..

they have said it needs a new steering column with the power steering attached but cant get one, without it the car is worthles it only has 6400 kilomiters on the clock.
the car is a 2007 model.
Any ideas??
