Vauxhall Astra Auto car has fault code P1985 and is running in safe mode but struggling to drive what does the fault code mean is this some thing i can fix myself

Sell this motor quick ,these are nice cars but suffer for these problems because the computer is bolted to the inlet manifold and gets too hot then cooks ,all these petrol engines from around this time suffer from this fault

The problem is in the loom in the steering wheel, it requires removal of the airbag and a new wheel loom to be fitted. The loom costs about £15.00 I think.

Car losing power. Yellow check engine and trackshion light comes up on dashboard. I had this codeP1985.Holden Astra 2005 was loosing power when I pressed gas pedal. Engine shaking. Code reads ecu or tourge mlf. Foult was was gas pedal. I changed gas pedal (3bolts) and works perfect.

Mechanic sad that it was computer ECU, than transmission....nope, just gas pedal.
