Have a 1995 honda accord lx seller says that when you put it in drive (d-4 on the instrument panel) the light starts to blink . Do you think this is a transmisson problem. It was taken to transmission repair shop , they could not find anything wrong.

This problem can be solved by replacing an AT Control Unit, which is located underneath the passenger side floorboard. There are two computers underneath the floorboard. It is the one on the right, the smaller unit. The numbers must match exactly. The numbers vary according to whether the car is an LX, DX or EX. Simply disconnect the battery, take out the two plugs that plug into the bottom of the computer, and replace the unit. The problem should be solved.

I looked at a wiring diagram, traced it back and found a disconnected wire. After I reconnected the wire, the vanity lights started working.
