1993 Toyota Celica power window, door lock, and tilt steering are not working. It worked before but then when my old battery died and i turned on the car, there was smoke coming out from the window control panel and since then all 3 things are not working. I opened the door and checked the fuse box but the fuse is fine. However, I checked the voltage of the wire and found out there is no current in these wires even when i turned on the engine. Please give me some advices

Check the wiring where it goes thru the bellows between the door pillar and the door. Continuous flexing has commonly caused wires to not only break, but the insulation can crack, and short out.(perhaps why your other battery went dead - a parasitic drain caused by this condition?) Secondly, find the bulkhead connector where the door wires connect in the kick panel opening and check for evidence of burning or melting.

Testimonial: "thanks for your advices. I will check it again and what if the bulkhead connector in the kick panel is burnt ? how can i replace it ?"

SOURCE: 2002 toyota celica power door lock problem

Are you hearing any noises from the pass door when you activate the lock switch? If not, the power door lock solenoid has failed, and prob needs to be replaced. Pull the door panel & check to see if it is getting power to the solenoid in lock & unlock. If it has power, the solenoid is def bad.

SOURCE: Toyota Camry power windows not working from master switch

Their are two fuses that power this system. One is a 15 amp gauge fuse and the other one is a 30 amp main power fuse. You can also check the power main relay, your ignition switch, or i could possibly be a fault in the wiring

SOURCE: 97 Toyota Camry aut. door lock and dash clock not working properl

i HAD the same problem.... first check the fuse under the hood labeled 'dome' should be a 7.5A it is blown for sure... also if you are good with wiring and at working on cars look at the drivers side doo wiring (between the inside door jam and the drivers side floor... its the wiring that goes through the door to the cabin.... anyway you have to take off the door panel and remove a small cover on the floor of the drivers side.... now remove the two connectors that go to the wiring harness.... you should now be able to loosen the grommet and pull the wiring harness through the door via the speaker hole (you should have removed the speaker already) you now must inspect the wiring which is most likely frayed and/or broken now fix the wiring with some new wiring and crimp connectors and heat shrink your work.... should be good as new... have fun getting the wiring back through the door... it will be bigger due to the crimp on connectors etc..... i did a quick write up of this so i hope it is understandable

SOURCE: Camry 1996 automatic power lock doen't work, but windows work.

if you can here relays when unlocking/locking check for power at door lock actuators inside doors, if you have power on lock/unlock and good earth from connector actuators are faulty.
if no power on test light when operating check output from central door lock module while operating, none coming out of module then it might need replacing.
check 30Amp power fuse for main relay under bonnet (which goes to pin 8 white/blue on module)and 10Amp gauge fuse in cab(pin 1 blue/red on module),pin 15 is also power when relay is on(red/blue) with test light, and module/ actuators.
check outputs from module pin 3 & 4
blue/red
blue/black
that go to door locks

1992 toyota celica key wont turn and alarm system going off

The steering lock may be binding the ignition lock cyl preventing the key from turning or the key may be worn out. Try turning the steering wheel back and forth while wiggling and turning the ignition key. To get the alarm to turn off without starting the car try locking and unlocking the vehicle from the passenger side door. There is a micro switch on the drivers side door lock cyl that may be bad and preventing the alarm from dis arming. This is all providing it is a toyota factory alarm sys.

No power coming from the passenger door switch to open the passenger window.

Make sure the passenger window lock is not activated. It is located to the left of the steering wheel. It looks like a box with an X in it.

I have a 2001 toyota celica. i put a new power steering pump on it because the old one was moaning and of course the car was difficult to turn. but.. the new is doing the same thing and blowing the fliud...

Sound like the steering rack is bad.The moaning could be the pump working to hard which could cause the fluid to overheat and over flow.Does it over flow when you first start it and it is cold
