Drivers side door power locks and windows control doesn't work.
2002 jeep grand cherokee power locks and windows don't work on drivers side door. The locks work with the key fob, but nothing works when I try and use the buttons on the door.

PULL THE DOOR OFF MAKE SURE THE 2 LITTLE DOOR HANGERS ARE CONNECTED TO THE SWITCH MECHANISM IF IT IS. THEN YOUR SWITCH IS BROKE. GO TO SCHUCKS AND ASK THEM IF THEY CAN ORDER YOU A WHOLE NEW DOOR LOCK SWITCH ASSEMBLY. REWIRE AND TAA-DA!!!

your master control module is bad..we just did this with a close friends' jeep.. it went all funky and I couldnt figure it out at first..the dealer we took it to fixed it because it was and still is under warranty.. thats what was wrong with hers..
I have checked the ground wire in the drivers door ?????? what about B+ voltage to the switch ? These vehicles wires from the body to the door break inside the rubber boot . Looking at a wiring diagram (so U know what wire is what ) Test with test light ,voltmeter etc...
Video's on youtube for testing electrical circuits . Plus these systems are controlled by a DDM - driver door module .
Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html
Enter vehicle info year , make , model and engine size . Under system click on body & accessories ,then under subsystem click on power door locks or windows . Just to give you an idea of what's involved . Watch this video , jeep ,dodge , chrysler same thing . Dodge Grand Caravan No Power Window No Power Locks CAN Trouble
Check the lockout switch for the windows. There is a lockout switch on the drivers door that will turn off all window functions in the car. Even the drivers controls.
Also after you have rulled that out, then try the window switches on each individual door.
If nothing is still working, I would try replacing the drivers switch assembly first. They are known problems. Just pay and change it. Be sure. Life is better this way.
Then change the motors in the doors if this does not cure it.
Also change the power lock motor in the failed door.
This will restore you to normal. Ebay is full of quality parts for your Jeep. I buy mine there on Ebay.
sounds like an open power or ground circuit on passenger side, since the door lock and the window, lost its functioning. Both switches would have to be bad at the same time, which is not probable, to be the fault. Unless there is a saftey lock out switch on the drivers panel, controling the passenger side door lock and window.
I have the same problem with my 2004 Jeep.I seen a lady last week opening her door on her cherokee to mail a letter, and asked her if her window and power locks don"t work, she said no.She said her mechanic said it was a module.I wonder if this is a faulty recall with Chrysler?
slide the rubber boot up and check the wires in the hinge of the doors. I will bet anything that the wires are broken. that was what was wrong with mine. just splice them back together and everything should work fine.
Sounds like the driver door module. First try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then try it. The door module controls all of those things you are describing.
I had the same problem with now power to windows, mirrors and seat. The common soulution is the orange and or black wire in the boot have broken between the door and post.
