I have a 97 1.6 daewoo

The firing order for the DB15T V8 engine used in some Daewoo vehicles is 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3. This means that the spark plugs are ignited in the following sequence:
1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3

or tell why you ask, curious, or just what?
there are many steps in all engine assemble that you need the firing order.
engine on floor, in 200 parts. timing the cam?>
or changing coil packs? (times 6)
we cant guess what's'' UP?

the engine on these cars, are all fired by computer.
so IT knows firing, order and not you. (hard coded in ecu memory)
USA car has 6 coil packs.
but in OTHER countries (instated by u) It might have 3 packs.
or 3 packs in one giant pack. (LOOK and tell me?)
but the mech, must put the coil pack back as he found it.
the coil packs some dont have, the markings on them.
so if removed, you are in a JAM. (not with COPS)
the new pack in a box may be with papers. got that?

a small horror that, and bad news really if read fate of Daewoo and Suzuki here. (i sold all my suzuki's )

our xk6 sold in the USA has a coil over each plug.
called COPS
and can not be mixed, so again, why do you ask this.?

here is where the COPS fit, in those 6 spark wells.

when you put the harness in place the plugs for the injectors should be close to were they go the injector plugs cant be mixed up they wont reach to the other injectors

firing order is 1432, starting at the bottom coil pack which is number 1, also the number 1 piston is next to the coil pack,working right to left 1234.

Why did you "fix" the firing order? If it's a smallblock, the order has been the same since 1955.
18436572 clockwise on the cap, beginning with the timing mark on the front pulley at "0" (TDC).
Only possible mistake you can make is that the mark lines up at TDC twice. Once right after the intake valve closes (where you want it to be, at the top of the compression stroke) and once when the exhaust valve closes (180 degrees out) in which case the rotor would point to the firewall instead of towards the front of the engine. Cylinders are numbered 1357 on the left side and 2468 on the right side (passenger side) front to back.
If you have done this and the engine still fails to start, you have another problem that you need to look for. If you have a different engine, the process is the same but you'd need to find the order for that engine.

The cap should be marked for number 1. The distributor turns clockwise. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.

if starter fluid made it chug, I would suspect fuel pump fuse, relay or pump, also fuel filter.

have you changed the ignition wires? perhaps firing order crossed? if not coil pack or ignition wires faulty how do you know it is not "FIREING" on 1 & 4 have you tested it with a spark tester tool???
