Could u please advise on how to find the correct timing marks on the engine. Also i have just had the fuel pump recond and put back in and the car runs but no throddle. please help?

SOURCE: estima lucida 94 auto diesel needs jump leads every time
put a 12 volt test meter on the battery with the engine off and get the reading.
then start the engine and retest the volts it should go up a volt ot two.
if the test readings are the same then the alternator is bad.

It may be the starter motor contacts which are worn. I have done this twice (on 2 different estima's myself. The starter will not turn or not properly. New contacts for these Denso starters are available on ebay from nipponnev for about £10 delivered and take about 1 hour to fit. No need to buy another starter. Hope this helps. Regards, Paul
